my parents divorced when I was 3. Since then my mother remarried and my father has been dating one woman for 19yrs. He cried in the courts and he was upset when whe remarried, telling her she would always be his wife. We moved around alot but ended up having a house built across the street from my biological father three years ago. (I know weird huh?) a little over a month ago my step father passed away and I cannot help but have these thoughts of my parents rekinding what they had many years ago? I feel bad because he is not even settled in the grave but i cannot shake these thoughts......
What are you thoughts?

No these thoughts are normal these are your parents. In some churches eyes like the catholic one they will always be married. It is natural for you to want them back together and some people do get back together. It is not your business, but it is a natural feeling for children of divorced children. You are a combination of the union of these 2 people. You do not need to feel bad about this feeling. You are the result of the love of these 2 people it is a really beautiful thing. I was talking to my mom about my dad. My mom and dad are divorced and my dad killed himself. My mom never wanted bad to happen to my dad. He cheated on her and she could not handle it. I do not blame her, but she never wanted bad for him.

I feel for you, I can't imagine the scenario where your mom and step dad said "lets move next store to -- your dad"

I bet they will get back together, he's never stopped loving her - and by moving accross the street it's obvious she still has feelings for him

good luck - but don't try to force anyones hand

I think that for most children of divorced parents that there is always a secret wish or desire that somehow their parents could reunite again, so that they could be a family once more.

Your feelings are perfectly normal and you really shouldn't feel strange about them at all...
and after all...you just never know. ;-)

My parents divorced after 8 years when I was two so I can understand your plight... However, they are completely whack when together and even though it was tough, they are better people without each other.

People do get back together though. I wish you and them the best.

Its normal to want your parents to get back together. Your parents are the ones to decied if they want to see each other again. But one can always hope.

It's only natural, but don't get you hopes up. Just take care of your mom and make sure you see how she's feeling. and don't get ahead of yourself. Just don't say to much to your mom, she may get upset.
