Any retail establishment can only hire a 17 y/o part time unless they can prove that they have graduated high school. If you are not attending school, and HAVE NOT graduated or gotten your GED most businesses will be reluctant to hire you based on the fact that you are uneducated, not because you are a minor. I suggest you finish school and then seek full time employment.

They will hire, only if your really hot at 17 but they would rather hire you at 18 because of hours that you can leagally work and they are looking for managers.

I hate those stores. Anyway, to answer your question, its up to the state labor laws. The store will make their own judgement based on that. Its usually 16.

yeah, but they make you wear their current clothing line. You get them at a discount, but you end up spending more than you make.
