i live in massachusetts, and my bets friend here is moving away to michigan. I want to give her an awesome gift at her going away party next thursday, but i dont know what ?!
and i dont want to do a huge photo-album, because 1) i dont have too many pictures, and 2) everyone does that.

Give her a basket with lots and lots of paper, envelopes, stamps, pens, a phone card, (if she has a cell) and a hand written journal from you with some personal stuff in it. You know, "you remember how we went to the mall but we were supposed to be at Bells house, I had so much fun even though I was so scared." That's the kind of stuff to write in it.
We never forget our BEST friends. Mine and myself are planning her third marriage, we have been friends since 6th grade. We are both 51 now.
You can plan to take vacations to visit her in the summer... Nice trips.
BEST friends are something to be treasured. Not every one has one.

A box of Stationary with stamped and addressed to you envelopes. I would write a letter and tell her how you feel and I would also get her a phone card and tell her that all she has to do is call and she will find her best friend and no matter how far away she is, she will always be close to your heart. :( I have been in this situation. I wish you the best. And also if you don't have a lot of pictures you can always just use one and put it in a personalized picture frame.

Get her a charm bracelet. Let every charm stand for something. Like you could put a ballet shoe on it if you two meet in ballet. if you don't remember anything like that, bestfriend charms work, or some of your favorite things and hers mixed on the bracelet.

A "some friend I am" custom made bumper sticker. But, they have to put it on thier car, that is, if they are a true friend. Lots of friend questions and answers tonight. This is cool!
