I believe so--many things can rupture the delicate membrane called the hymen, also known as the maiden-head or "cherry"--horse-riding can do it--bicycle-riding over rough terrain can do it. I expect rugby or soccer or football could do it.
inserting a tampon is a lot less likely to do this--there is a lot less mechanical energy being exerted--but just because it is a lot less likely, doesn't mean that it couldn't happen--I just think it would e a lot less likely than the above, better-known examples.

you think too much
and you do not need to dwell on females
and things of that nature
So go in the kitchen and wash the dishes
then vacuum the floor
go clean the bathroom
wash the car
do some wash
clean your room
cook dinner
then wash the dishes again
and if you are still thinking about this kind of thing
I will find more work for you

Talk to your mother or mentor. Sex education is important. Tampons can cause toxic shock syndrome..read the brochure in the box.

Losing virginity entails actual sex intercorse. You can not lose your virginity with a tampon. You are not having sex. Plus your heimen is still intact. You may want to go to a sex ed class or talk with your family or a close friend.
