Young people are learning how to get along in society. Its an awkward transition from a child in a close family to an adult in a big world. They are bound to make some mistakes along the way.
Take heart, sometimes the ugly ducklings become the most beautiful swans!

I never thought of it that way, it is hurtful. I suppose it is an aspect of the teenage years; the rudenes, the desire to be popular, and the disappointment if you aren't.
I was one of those invisible people too, but it didn't bbother me as much, I suppose. I did naturally congregate with other invisibles and we were miserable together. In fact eventually there was more of us than them. We always welcomed any newcomer to our lunch table, and smiled as people went by.
It ends up that many of the popular jocks and leaders were not that popular or leaders later in life. In fact, one of the quiet guys that became ny friend later is now an officer in a major company making millions of dollars. We still share Christmas cards and get together every once in awhile. I don;t think the "cool" people are as well connected.
There is justice, give it time.
By the way, if you have a shyness or such, give it time...people will migrate to you later because you are sweet and quiet. They need time to sort out this wierdness too.

Well it seems that since you are asking this question you are not one of those people who ingnore other people. I wasn't ever a popular kid or an impopular kid in High School once I found some way to stand out among the rest.... When I decided I would go to new freshman and shake their hand and say " Hi I am Elvis Presley!, therefore starting the end to my "unoticed" days do something that is different than other people dress different and go to random people and say "Hi how are you today." even if you dont know them! I did it and I was named "Most Memorable Senior of 2005" etch yourself into their minds.

Because people are usually strolling to class and pondering about other things happening in their life. So, what if the popular people make fun and ignore the other people at school? You are who you are, don't be like them. You'll change completely if you ever wanted to be like them. Just stay the way you are, don't change. Remain independent, you don't need to be popular. Becoming popular won't bring you anywhere, you'll just be known in school, not the world. It's the media now, people act so cool and all, it's hilarious, really. I laugh when I see them and I'm turning 16. There're nothing but trash. All you need is yourself to appeal to others.

early social developement. this is all about learning social skills. also, some kids prefer to remain "invisible" as they are insecure at this time. what people do between the ages of 12-18 has little indication of what kind of person they will be as an adult. don't sweat it. this moment in your life will be a flash in time a few years from now, and you won't be able recall much about it. it's all gonna be alright.

Think about the people you notice... they are either drop dead gorgeous, incredibly ugly, or they wear loud clothes to be seen. Now think of those who you don't notice. Typical teenagers. Less than average clothes. Could be popular if just.... These people generally don't want to be noticed so they don't go out of their way to get noticed. By the way, these are usually the people that make the best of friends.

School? School is a pitiful and abstract concept to me. The second I was born i was bestowed with every spec of knowledge known throughout the entire universe. I was born fully-grown with a P.H.D. in Bio-Chemistry and Psychology.

That's not how life is. You have to go through some hardships in life so you learn how to deal with the real world. Everything can't be easy.

They'll notice you more when you blossom....look at it like a flower. The buds aren't too attractive, but as it mature, the beauty shows.

Because the world is Black and hearts cold, there's no hope that's what we're told, And we can't go back, it won't be the same, it's forever changed like the things we say.
