So there's a few things I was wondering about Tokyo. I lived in Japan when I was in high school. But only for a few months and only in Oosaka. So now I'm in college and I'm going back. I want to knwo if you cold give me a few pointers. I went to college in the US for only a year. I think it was really easy. I got all A's in everything even Japanese :) so do you think Japanese college is hard? Do you think it's hard to make friends with Japanese college people? I really want to make lots of friends to practicing speaking japanese with, and hang out with them, but in high school in Japan my friends were always too busy studying it was so rare that we just go hang out. So what do you guys think?

japanese college is much easier than american college. doushisha daigaku is probably top 10 but still my dumbas* friend graduated no problem. Unlike america, japanese study really hard to get into college and once you got in, they just fu*k around man. Even my dad went to Toudai but he told me he didn't study much. American college is easier to get in but it's pretty damn hard to graduate. If your going to japanese college be aware cause they party and DRINK A LOT. People actually die a lot , no joke.
if your white or black, you would have no problem makeing friends especially chiks.

anata wa atama ga yosasou dakara shinpai nai to omou kedo, nihon jin ga minna ii hito towa kagiranai kara kiotsukete ne. henna hito mo takusan imasu. demo taitei no nihonjin wa gaijin (american) wo RESPECT shiteru ka, kowagatte chika yoranai kara, daijoubu dato omou yo. nihon wa totemo tanoshii tokoro dakedo, asobi suginai youni, 9gatsu kara gakkou ganbatte ne.

Good Luck!

Like KANE-O said, Japanese colleges are easy.
Depends on what your major is but most of the final exams are graded by doing term papers and written reports which basically means as long as you've got some kind of opinion then you can't go wrong.
Your japanese fluency seems pretty solid although you have a few grammatical errors that I guess is impossible to master unless you live and breathe Japan for 5 6 years.

If you're going to Sofia then I'm guessing you're in Hikaku Bunka?
First off there are lots of English speakers in that course. I'm sure you know. So it's easy to get pulled into the english speaking crowd. Although this is fun you should try to make Japanese friends which I'm sure you will, as long as you're not a creepy, stalker/perv.
Oh and Japanese college students drink like idiots.
So uh.......get your drink on.
Have fun!!!
Man I'm jealous.....

I am a former student of Jyochi Daigaku. I have to say, while it was not incredibly difficult it is more difficult than other universities that you may find. It is considered one of the high level universities in Japan so of course their standards are higher. That being said, it was, in my opinion, easier than my US classes because the workload was lighter. I had to study an equal amount for most classes but I didn't have to do things like write long papers so it was easier.

The university also is close to a lot of good restaurants and a TV station if you want to gawk at japanese celebrities through a window into the studio.
