Chlorophyll is a green photosynthetic pigment found in most plants, algae, and cyanobacteria. Its name is derived from ancient Greek: "chloros = green and phyllon = leaf." Chlorophyll absorbs most strongly in the blue and red but poorly in the green portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, hence the green color of chlorophyll-containing tissues like plant leaves.

Because as OUR MAKER He knew what would be restful to us, and green/blue seem to be the winners! With blue sky and green grass. Why? Not sure, however I am sure that research on Color has been done, I just haven't looked it up. I doubt he'd have made something by mistake that we had so much of though. I personally love green and blue and they are my two favorite colors, followed closely by brown, then the odder colors like mixed colors.

For the sake of brevity let us assume that it is the God almighty that has made the grass green. Now the rest of the riddle is simple .

He KNEW / KNOWS that only the chlorophyll pigments with their unique ability can convert the radiant energy from Sun ( here again his own creation !) can be transformed in to chemical energy with the help of his water and CO2 gas.
He also knew that unless HE takes the initiative, the multitude of other organisms will starve.

That is why HE made not only the grass but the great majority of green plants right from the Phytoplanktons and zooplanktons on which the great baleen whales feed up to the the mighty oaks, cedars and redwood, green in colour(read their foliage or the main photosynthetic organ.)

Just as you are serious , I am also equally serious. There exist no other mechanism; either man made or natural that can duplicate the work of photosynthesis like chloroplast and chlorophyll ( a and b), this is the creation of HIM! . Man has yet to imitate it in the laboratory.

That is why the green plants are the only producers and others are only consumers and are living off the green plants almost like parasites!

God didn't make grass green.

Grass is green because of the way that it gets energy; it absorbs energy from the sun and uses that energy to make sugars, and it does so using a substance called "chlorophyl". Chlorophyl is green, and therefore, so is grass.
The only time a plant's leaves are not green is when that plant has other pigments in it in addition to chlorophyl (such as red maple trees).

God did not make the grass green. Grass has a green colour because it evolved from green algae which utilised the green pigment chlorophyll to harvest sunlight.

First of all you will have to learn about theory, systems and the psychology of colors.

Why green? The green grass reflects the colors of the sun's rays and the blue sky. Green represents an ideal environment that sustains body and soul. It is an earthy color.

Why not red? Red is the flame of the human spirit, it brings fullness of living. It is the color of energy that moves about and cannot be rooted to a single place.

Why did God make it that way? No one knows but God himself. All we can do is wonder in awe at His miracles.

Thank God I do not have green blood!

Grass is only green if you perceive it to be green. Reality is as we perceive it to be. It has to do with our eyes and our brains. For some people grass is red. What about a black and white photograph of grass. The grass is not green, it's all about our perception and interpretation of what we think is reality.

God had nothing to do with it, the grass is green due to the chlorophyl composition, which, in turn, reflects the green wavelengths of light from the sun.
