They really have a great time at those things. I got to see the rated version and like you, it was so funny. I think that later on they will play it in it entirety, because I saw the Pam Anderson one and it was in it's full glory.

Are you kidding??? It was bloody awful. Nothing but the worst possible gutter humor imaginable. A bunch of C-rated comedians who were totally not funny and had to resort to shock in order to get embarrassed laughs out of the audience. There is so much about Shatner's life that they could have tapped into for real laughs, but they took the low road instead.

Pretty disgusting for people who supposedly know how to be funny. The insults were tasteless and meant to belittle. With so much material to work with, they squandered the opportunity to have some fun and yet honor someone who has made distinctive contributions to television and film, not to mention his charity work. I didn't watch all of it, but I was very disappointed by what I did see.

It was very funny. Although at times I thought they were roasting George "Sulu" Takei. Lots of gay jokes about him.
