This is probably a really stupid question. But can you be a virgin and still use tampons?

And which do you prefer ... pads/tampons?

NOT a dumb question, seems like a perfectly honest query.

A virgin is someone, male or female, who hasn't had intercourse. There are a number of perfectly respectable nuns who use tampons for menstrual containment.

I prefer tampons overall because of convenience, but they can be less comfortable in the last day or so of the menstrual cycle. Used pads for a while when toxic shock syndrome first hit the news, but the risk of this is minimal with frequent changes.

Yes, you can use tampons if you're a vigin, I do quite often actually. I prefer pads, because even if I wear a tampon, sometimes it's best to keep a pad underneath, just so no blood gets onto my undies...can't have that. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that I like tampons better. I'm undecided. There!

Of course u can be a virgin and still use tampons. The hymen can still be intact when a tampon is inserted. I'm a virigin and I prefer pads because they're a lot more comfortable. I've never tried tampons because I heard they can cause vaginal problems, so I've always stuck w/ pads. But it's all up to you- they're both perfectly fine to use for ur period.

Yes, you can still be a virgin and use tampons. A man has to break the hymen and a tampon cannot go deep enough to do that. And unless you go swimming you should use pads- tampons can cause you to have toxic shock syndrome.

YES! Using tampons does not take away your virginity. Sex does. It's an old beliefe and its stupid for people to truly believe that, but your question is not stupid. I prefer tampons because they shorten the length of your period, help reduce cramps and are just more comfortable than pads...especially in the sweatty summer heat!!

Yes, you can use tampons and still be a virgin. Using tampons has nothing to do with losing your virginity. You only lose your virginity if you have intercourse with a male.

I prefer tampons...pads seem more messy and unclean. (my opinion) Tampons are fresh and clean..Tampax Pearl are my favorite.

yes you can still be a virgin and use tampons. Being a virgin means that you refrain from sex with another person and inserting a tampoon is not having sex. Personally i perfer tampons so i can cont. with my norm. everyday life with lil bother from the pad squirming away. I do have to say whoever to make sure you change the tampoons often due to health issues and to help reduce the risk of a yeast infection.
