Iowa is ranked the top corn producer in America.
Illinois claims to be top, but is ranked second in the nation.
Nebraska is the third top of corn producers.
According to last year figures, anyway. This year's aren't all in yet.

I am not resident of USA, but I can tell you the exact figures of the year 2004. I have not the latest figures, but the past data of almost ten years shows that IOWA state produces more corn than anyone else.
Here they are:-
Iowa (Total Harvest = 12,000 Acres)
(Yield per Acre = 157 bushels)
(Total Production = 18,84,000 bushels)
Illinois (Total Harvest = 11,050 Acres)
(Yield per Acre = 164 bushels)
(Total Production = 18,12,200 bushels)
Nebraska (Total Harvest = 7,700 Acres)
(Yield per Acre = 146 bushels)
(Total Production = 11,24,200 bushels)
