Alaska - on a cruise - and I'd take my family. I would want to wait until my grandson is older so that he would remember the trip his whole life.
As for why - because of all the glaciers and natural beauty.

i'd go to the maldives...
FYI its a very small island on the seas near Sri Lanka... its got very beautiful sea... and every cottage you stay in is on top of the sea... you overlook the sea when you are like when having dinner or taking a bath..
