Wayne Dyer says that with every choice you make, you're either moving toward Source or away from Source. It's a free will planet, so you don't have to do anything.

Sometimes what society labels right isn't the same as what your soul tells u is right. In those cases then u may have to decide to with society or against it, and sometimes u may even have chose obeying the law or going against because your soul say otherwise. (Let's face society isn't perfect.) When this happens then a person has to choose the choice that is best for them; can you deal with the consequences of going against society and maybe even the law; but can u deal with the consequences of going against your soul. Only u can tell. it's the forked road that lies ahead, a difficult choice to make.

I would venture that if you get the ability to follow your souls urgings, then you would be doing the right thing

the soul knows the difference between right and wrong.
to follow a choice that is not right will bring guilt. and then suffering.
The soul knows right from wrong.
