Why is it legal for me to buy a hunting license to shoot certain animals, and it is legal for me to buy cans of insecticide to kill insects, but it is ILLEGAL to kill humans?

When a boy is getting beaten to death by his stepdad, he isn't allowed to kill his stepdad, but he's allowed to shoot a defenseless rabbit.

When a woman is getting raped by a criminal who breaks into her house, she isn't allowed to kill him, but she is allowed to buy a can of insect spray and kill insects who only bother people because it is instinct, and insects are too stupid to know that what they do is wrong.

Surely, humans can be the worse pests. Humans can hack computers, steal, lie, cheat, hurt, kill, destroy property, etc. They pose a much bigger threat than any animal or insect. Am I wrong??? So WHY is it illegal to kill humans?

P.S. If you are going to criticize me, then please do not respond. Thank you. :)

I get your point, however, having survived your 1st Scenario (real dad, though not step and he was drinking so...) 2nd scenario (assault, attempted but no actual rape took place),
another scenario: sibing rivalry (had a sibling pull a knife on me in a blind rage when I was about 12 and he was 10, and my Uncle pulled him off me...but it was all over a jealousy)
I'd that the true "Irony" is that if given free rein the Criminals are the ones who go out maim or kill innocent victims, which they've done in past times already.
sad, isn't it? So, I guess you have a good point but paying evil for evil never works out in the end. It almost always just begets more evil.

The logical foundation for your question is a bit flawed. Most law making bodies recognize the need for self defense, and in some cases this results in having to kill another human being. The basic concept that you are missing here is one of reasonable response. If a person feels that their life is in danger and that they must kill or be killed, that response is appropriate. If there are other actions to take, such as knocking your assailant uncoscious, those make more sense.

I understand the point about humans being the worst pests, and perhaps being killed like insects is something that we deserve. However, the comparison of buying insect spray and killing a human being hold different values in our society. That is why killing an insect is nothing compared to killing a human being.

Well I think you're forgetting cases of self-defense.

If a boy is getting beaten constantly by a stepfather and the kid takes a baseball bat upside the deadbeat's skull it's self defense.

As for the rape case, if someone breaks into her house many states carry what is known as the Make My Day law. You break into someone's house they can legally shoot and kill you and get off on self-defense. Actually happened to a coworker of mine a few months back. Somebody tried to rob his place and he put three rounds into the guy from across the room. Had to wait a few months for the investigation to get his gun back but he got off without charges.

But I agree, there are some people who just need to be killed. If nothing else they can serve as an object lesson to others. I say we start by taking warning labels off of products. If you don't know by now that smoking leads to cancer, lung failure and crap you're an idiot. If you don't know drinking three cases of natty ice a day will screw you up then you're an idiot. If you don't know not to drink bleach or shoot up with rat poison then you deserve to die.

Bravo!! You make such wonderful and valid points. I am impressed. The answer to that simple and boring. Years ago, someone made it a law that you cannot kill other people.

Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer, but sometimes the question makes more sense than the answer.

Because you are a person. It is killing another human and humans have legal rights (naturaly) that animals don't have.

Animals can't speak up for themselves and require us to speak up for them.

Some people say animals don't go to heaven because they have no souls, but I see people do a heck of a lot more wrongs than animals...

in my concepts "going after funds" isn't on the problem of classic gender roles in a relationship. no matter if classic or no longer, relationships require love, believe, and honesty. per chance not one of the girls persons right here might want to date a guy for his funds while not having authentic thoughts for him, even with the undeniable fact that it does take position. Why do gender roles should be so black and white? i comprehend that in my circle of pals they are not. in my opinion I easily have an excellent form of note of for both classic and feminist values. i do no longer, even with the undeniable fact that, like the opposite side of the coin at the same time as adult adult males are generalized into one vast team like animals. some adult adult males are pigs, and they are regularly the loud outspoken ones. there's a a lot higher majority of adult adult males that are literally not (I comprise myself right here) and regularly lumped into the former class through some "feminists" who basically seem vengeful or bitter in direction of all adult adult males.

Uhh...actually, you CAN kill someone when they're trying to hurt you. It's called "self-defense," and it's perfectly legal. When it comes to defending your life, there ARE no rules.

Not criticizing you, just pointing out a flaw in your argument. ^_^

Um...in the situations you describe, people *are* allowed to kill. Self-defense and all that.

well you are not to take the law into your own hands, I know it sucks when someone gets abused and gets away with it, it is not fair at all.
It is illegal because that is the law, we can not take the law into our own hands.
