I live in CA and want to become a administrator for an assisted living facility, what programs are availiable?

As far as I can remember when I worked at a Long Term Care facility and we had a Residential Care Facility on our campus, the gal that ran that told me she had to have just a simple AA degree from an accredited Junior College in order to do that and this is in California.
