i'd buy a home, which in california just about does it. i'd like to invest, too.

If I have a million dollars?
I would buy at least 40 acres of land some where out in the woodlands and put a house, a Log Cabin and a garage on it.
Pay off my SUV. Purchase A mini van and another car.
Install a solar powered generator to power everything.
And then I would take a 2 week vacation from work and fly to Russia or Ukrainian and try to find a decent woman.

I'd invest, spend, & share (charity, friends/family) the money.
The key thing is... Is this before or after taxes? I mean, if it's $500K after taxes, it's half as much fun... ;-)

2. Buy a Jaguar
3. Find someplace nicer for my parents to live
4. Have a very big party - live band, limo transport for all guests, etc
5. Buy a lake house somewhere in the Adirondacks
6. Buy a boat
I think that'd about cover it. Damn, the money went pretty fast.

i would build a castle. a real castle. with big stones and a moat with a draw bridge, and a torch chandelier. and torches on the walls for lights.
but it would have electricity too so i could play video games in it.
i would need a little bit more than 1 million to make it though.

Start up some trust funds for grandsons.
Buy a car.

you can't really do much with a milion dollars nowaday, its not even enough for a really good home... but if I did have a million dollars, i would buy a regular condo in manhattan, and SHOES!
