I think u should try to become good friends with ur son. How old is he?
It is very natural to boys & girls (teens) to find opposite sex friends, may be they are just good friends...may be more.
But most of these relationships doesn't end up seriously but if does it is good cause they have been knowing eachother for some time & know their differences & likings.
Try to get closer to ur son...share his feelings, show him that u want the best for him, be his best freind (this takes a lot of effort)
when he can trust u he will open up..then he will tell u everything..then he will also value ur opinion with regard to his relationships.
But if u only oppose & be a hard critic he will distant from u & u will become the enemy.
