I thought about abortion when I got pregnant with my 3rd child by the age of 21. My husband and I were having a hard enough time raising 2 and I was afraid that another one would push me over the edge. But it was only a passing thought. I knew in my heart I could never abort my child. 21 years later I am so happy to have my son and my 2 daughters.

A woman's body, a womans decision, I just love it when you see pictures in the press of people standing outside an abortion clinic, 65+ year old men and women and others too, telling people what to do and not do with their lives, saying God is against it, I believe in God, and in all my years on this earth, he has never talked to me, nor has he ever spoken to anyone I know in this whole world!
What pray tell does a 65 year old man know about having an abortion and the stress and strain on a womans life, wether she be 15 or 45?

from previous experience. I am against it nut when the other person makes the choice you really dont have a choice. to explain what I'm talking about...i think everyone has heard about ''the day after pill'' well she takes the pill and then tells e that she is preg. so really I didnt have a choice in the matter. then she asked me what I want to do?
So to answer ur question...If that girl or the guy can live their decision(b/c it will stay with you and u will always ask urself what if) then do it but for the right reason's...(i guess)

It's hard to answer your question. Do I feel that an abortion is the best option? No, I don't. Do I know that sometimes it is the only option? Yes.

I agree with you, I could never get one myself if there was any other option available, but I've had friends in positions where they literally had no choice. It really, really sucks, but it happens.

It's not up to you to decide what is right or wrong for a person, and I hope you never find yourself in a situation where abortion was an option, please kindly keep your preaching opinions to yourself, an adult can decide what is right or wrong for their life, and your opinion has nothing to do with what they choose. I am glad for you that you have never had to face this decision, but don't judge people that have had abortions, you have no idea of why they had no other option, so stop asking such personal things.

This is just a bad question to ask - you had to have known it was going to get people all fired up.

I support a woman's right to choose - whether to choose to have an abortion or to have a child.

Edit: to all those who say give the child up for adoption instead, how many children have *you* adopted?

I had an abortion at 16 and now I have to live with it every day. I learned that it is murder! Now that I have two kids it makes me feel even worse about the one I don't have.

im glad everything worked out with your young pregnancy but unfortunately, not all girls have that option. i agree with women who choose to have an abortion in some circumstances. not just if they dont feel like having a child. i understand if they were raped, or too young, or just didnt have the money to provide for the child, etc.

Women at one time or another must make choices that sometimes can be the hardest ones in there lives that they have to deal with. But until you know what the decisions were and why those choices had to be made, then who are we to judge them for the choice they made. This is really one of those questions that that your damn if you agree and damn if you don't. I believe that every woman should be able to make decisions of what happens to there body for they are the ones that have to live with there decisions for the rest of there lives .
