Other than my school supplies, what should I take? I can carry a bookbag so I can take things like a bottle of water, a brush, mirror, etc. What else should I take?

i always have some tampons or pads on hand. cuz you never know when you'll burst. also, some excedrin for headaches, hairspray, mascara and eyeliner for unexpected crying, tissues, extra pencils, paper, and lead. cuz people always need it. a fingernail file, elastics for your hair. mints. lip gloss. granola bars or candy bars for emergency hunger (but nothing that will go rotten if it gets lost.) an extra shirt that you can change into if you spill your lunch. fingernail clippers for the really bad broken nails, bobby pins, cuz everyone always needs them, facewash for the really bad breakdowns, lotion, perfume, deodorant for when you forget to put it on in the morning, and a pair of flip-flops for if the weather suddenly changes so you're not stuck in shoes. but keep in mind that most of this can stay in your locker too.

Be prepared for any funky body emergencies!
Tampons, deodorant, mouthwash.
Also carry $5 or so cash- but keep that in your pocket, shoe or bra.
Be very careful if you carry your IPod, cell phone or other expensive stuff with you- it could get stolen! I went to a "nice" suburban school, and kids got stuff ripped off all the time. Keep your bag on you at all times and always keep the pockets zipped!

i'm almost done with highschool, but i would recomend just bringing one notebook the first day to write down everything you need for the school year, and of course a pen or pencil..then the 2nd day you'll prolly have your locker and you can keep all your books and stuff in there. if not just bring your bookbag.. good luck :)

marker and pens and an extra spiral, because you will get bored and you will need those things to doodle and what not. bring extra make-up and what not. magazines beacuse boredom. snacks to sneak because some schools don't allow that kind of thing. um...cell phone. i pod. if you have that kind of thing. camera. so you can take lots of pictures of you and your friends during free periods or passing periods, and before and after school. and you can put those pictures up on your myspace, and you;d be so cool. umm....basically anything that will start conversation, cause on the first coupld days of school you might not know everybody in your classes, so that kind of thing is good to start conversations and get to know people. ummm....maybe deoderant if you have p.e.....and mints are another thing that can help you meet people. cause if you pull out a mint for yourself. everybody else will want one. oh. and tylenol....just keep that hidden cause you could get in trouble for that kind of thing. but sometimes its necessary. ummm....i like to be prepared. so i have lots of suggestions. anyway. i hope this gives you some ideas! good luck and have fun this year.

I always find it helpful to have a small pack of travel kleenex. Also lotion, advil/tylenol, calculator and a granola bar (for those long stretches of class).

A big smile, and a friendly "Hi!"
Be surprised how many people would LOVE to make a new friend, but just too shy to initiate it.

Only bring something that has importance. Gum is a personal favorite to have on me at all times! : )
