Both! Good chemistry is what keeps the relationship going. But if you are a true believer in your relegion, than being with someone who has the same beliefs is going to be important because you are going to want to live by those beliefs and you are going to want the person you are with to do the same.

Definitely good chemistry. Even though common religious beliefs is a good way to look at it, i dont think you'd be too happy with that person because of the lack of things in common other than religious beliefs.

Well, if there's no chemistry, there's no relationship. But depending on how far you want to go with the relationship, it helps to have a lot of things in common. Not only religious beliefs, but other beliefs as well. The more points of congruity there are, the more chances there are for a relationship to succeed. I know opposites attract, but they don't often stay together!

While I feel they are both important, I tend to go with the good chemistry. I think if that part is good, then the religious beliefs can be tackled. You may even be able to convince them to try out your religion.

Depends on what those religious beliefs are. If you are Baptist and he is Methodist, then its not such an issue. If you are Jewish and he is Muslim, well then you are going to have a struggle. Good chemistry may help you overcome that struggle, but it won't help you if your relationship becomes a political and religious battleground.

It depends. What is more important to you? You have to know your priorities. When you do, that's when you make your choice.
I prefer to have both, but if I really have to choose, i'd choose chemistry. But only because I'm not that religious. However, I'd have to find a way to tell my parents. They will be very disappointed.
