i have a new macbook. everytime i try to install office2004 student ed. for mac, i get an error message. help?

The error message says "the application office 2004 quit unexpectedly. Mac OSX and other applications are not affected." I am a college student and have papers coming up soon. my professors want them done in Word. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe your problem is you're installing a PPC app on an Intel system, but I have Office v.X installed on my MacBook Pro, and didn't have any problems. As far as a solution....I don't have any answers. Sorry :(

I dont think microsoft office work with mac
