Are you sure it's a racist thing, or just your imagination? I'm white and I don't hate Mexicans or know anyone that does.

The issue isn't the notion of hating specifically the Mexican race as a whole, but rather hating the attributes and characteristics that a wide majority of working class Mexicans share. To provide a list of the attributes that personally bother me:
1) Speaking Spanish only and never bothering to learn the English language.
2) Not bothering to frequently take a bath/shower and shave to provide a clean, friendly, or professional appearance
3) Doing a lackluster job no matter what profession they are in, whether it is mowing a lawn, fixing cars, or painting houses. If they can half *** it, they will.
4) Understanding trash goes in the trash can
5) Understanding women are not inanimate objects that can be stared at or whistled at inappropriately.
6) Riding 10 people in a truck with bondo sticking out of the fender
7) Having 7 kids when you can't even take care of yourself.
8) Again, to reiterate the most important point....Communcation is key. Learn to speak English. "Hello, how was your day?" Not "Amigo, No Englis"
So these are the key issues I'd like to point out. Of course not all members of the Mexican race will share them, but I think a good majority of them do. Again, as someone pointed out, we don't hate Mexican people, we hate stupid people.

Well, let me explain it this way.
First of all, our goverment hands over the best jobs, to educated minorities.
Secondly, they like to give free educations, to minorities, because some pinheads in office, are nicer to minorities, than to it's own citizens.
Then, you take into account, where our own local cement plant was sold under the table to a mexican firm, in three days, without the state's approval, by the goverment.
What did they do? Laid off just about everyone with seniority, hired in a bunch of spanish speaking hands to do everything, and put a lot of hard workers out of work.
Now, we have trains going through town at 5pm during high traffic, problems with the tracks, and if you want some help around the plant, no one speaks english.
Add in the fact that there's a large population of people sneaking over the borders, to get the good medical care, and take jobs from people in the south, and don't want to stay in our country, I'd say we've got plenty of reason to hate mexicans....either that, or stay home, and fix your own country....overrun with drug lords, and gangs.

Why do some white people hate Mexicans? Millions of Mexicans come to this country illegally, they don't bother learning English, they create violent criminal gangs, they "steal" health care from state hospitals, they blast ghetto-rap music from their cars at all hours of the day and night, they have the highest school drop-out rate of any race, they have more pregnant teens than any other race, they breed like rabbits, and then they wave the Mexican flag in America even though Mexico is the last place they would want to live.

Some people who are competing with illegals for jobs feel it is unfair that they are having to work harder to keep them when people are illegally coming across the border. Because the main immigration influx is from mexico, people tend to take it out on the mexican population. I am white and although I like to think that I do not discriminate, tests show that most do subconsciously. We hold nothing against you personally Jesus, and I, at least, try to make a conscious effort to not discriminate. It is a flaw not in our society, but in our thought process.
By the way, congrats on being in the running for valedictorian. You must have good grades. =)!

I'm glad to finally see someone use the word "some" in their questions (rather than generalizing). I honestly don't hate anyone. Jesus taught us that the greatest command is to love each other. My life is a reflection of that. I think a lot of people make GENERALIZATIONS (there's that word again) about a group of people based on their experiences or knowledge of just a few people in that group. If I only met one Mexican in my life and he wrecked into my Jeep, blamed it on me, and then drove off, should I judge all Mexicans by his actions? No (yes, I often answer my own questions). A lot of hatreds are created by mere ignorance. Some of us "whites" (and I REALLY fit into the white part of that category) are accepting of all human beings.

I am a older man and I have had several opportunities to observe the Hispanic people in our community. They work hard, they support their family, they almost always worship Christ. Now I hear negative things and I will quickly admit that I do not live in Miami, I live in the country, so I'm just saying what I have seen, I like.
America has lost the drive to make things happen for themselves. They better watch out because hard work and hunger is what made America great.

I am not sure that it is actually people disliking a certain race of people in most cases. It is more stereotyping than anything. Mexicans are believed to be dumb, stupid, mean and hateful. I am of the White race, however, I have a daughter who is hispanic and she is VERY intelligent and very helpful to all and caring, but is looked down upon because she is by fact hispanic. Me personnally, I HATE rap music but, I DO NOT dislike blacks. My belife is that anyone wanting to take residency in the states needs to learn about our country as well as our language BEFORE they make the move. This is AMERICA, and english speaking country and I welcome you !! Hopes this helps you !!

I think people who say they hate Mexicans haven't ever really been around them. I work in a school with a high Hispanic population. Most families are either Mexican immigrants or first generation Americans. I have found in many cases these people are more respectful towards educators and more willing to work for what they want than their caucasian neighbors. I know they are way more likely to show up at parent-teacher conferences too!
