What do you mean that you erased your Microsoft Word. If you deleted the icon from the desktop or from your program list, you simply deleted the shortcut to the program but you still have the program on your computer. You can confirm this by opening the files on your hard drive (Drive C). Looking for the program file folder and then look to see if Microsoft Word or Microsoft Office is in there. If so, there is a way to get the shortcut back on the Program list on the Start Menu. If you actually did delete the program then you will have to reinstall it via the Microsoft CD disk which I assume came with your computer.

What makes you think you "erased" Word?
You would have to had uninstalled it from the Control Panel.
Do you think you just lost the icon - that you dragged it off the window?
Go to Start, Programs - look for Microsoft Word. If it is still listed, right-click on it and choose to create a shortcut on the desktop.
If you did, in fact, uninstall it, you will need the CD to reinstall.
Would you mind sending me a note to let me know if you found it?

First, try system restore and see if you can revert the computer system as well as the installed applications in the hard disk to a previous state. If this fails, then reinstall MS Word from the installation CD.

do a system restore that would take your Microsoft Word back..
start>program>accesories>system tools> system tools. then restore my computer to an earlier time, then choose a restore point before you erase your MS word.
but before you do that...'
how did you erase your MS word?
maybe you have just erase the shortcuts for ms word..
try going to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office then look at the folder where your ms word is installed..

you can also do a System Restore where it will take your computer back a few hours or days (it usually shows you a calender and from there you choose how far back you want to go) and from there you can recover it and the files. First you go to the start menu, go to all programs, then accessories, then System Tools and at the bottom is System Restore. Follow the directions and you should get it back.

Re install MS word using MS Office installer OR if you dont have an installer, just use SYSTEM RESTORE. System restore will restore your system back, just choose the date before your MS Word was gone.
To find it, click start>all programs>accessories>system tools> system restore
