one astronomer/scientist said (i forget who), "without the belief of God, life is without meaning." he said it it another context but this was the message. at first he didnt believe in God but after all the things he discovered through science it made sense to him that someone had to make all this, everything in the universe is just so in order and perfectly placed.

The fact that we feel the need to answer this question, is saddening, as we aren't able to act, think and do as we want. If there was a unique meaning, should all people then live by this one true dogma for the rest of their lives? Apparantly people want someone to tell them how to live and what to do, instead of living your own life the way you want it, and are capable of. - Curiosity is great, but wanting to unravel a guideline to the way you should live? Waste of time and energy, as I don't believe life can be outlined, plotted and guided. Only lived, and experienced.
- If you really do need to think about it just for fun, why not read some of the experts on the field like Sartre, Kierkegaard and so on. (or even Nietzsche...)

this question is made on the assumption that there IS a meaning to life. religion aside, I believe life is merely a process that we as humans and other living beings go through because it is the natural order of the universe. We are born, we live, we die. That's all there really is. of course there is more to it because human beings have emotions and thoughts that allow us to ask questions such as these. as far as dying, everything comes and goes, nothing is here to stay...I don't believe in religion but if you do then you should have already found your answers because most religions have explanations for your question. :)
as a last note, accept death for what it is, a mere ending of life. and for anyone that wants a meaning to life, make your own. that seems to work.

You were born to die, so live life to its fullest, spend all the time you can with your family and friends, be good to animals, and always, always "STOP to smell the roses". Enjoy the sky and notice the little things. You are blessed to be alive, so enjoy it and dont worry about death, because it will come some day anyway. :)

Cause if living beings don't die,
1. all things lost its meanings, cause death makes all things has meaning.
2. The earth will full of living beings (don't you see that now the world is already full).

It would be difficult to realize how precious life is if you were immortal. Since our time here on Earth is limited, the moments we have to experience are much more precious. We also realize who has touched our lives the most when they pass on. We may not have fully appreciated them while they were here. And when you are old and gray, you finally have the wisdom that you wished you had when you first started.

We die because our present existence is temporal. Our real self is eternal.
The more we get in touch with our eternal self the more we will be happy.
