The first one flew out the door when we opened it. I'm hoping the second did too but I hid in the bedroom with the door cracked open. I didn't see it for an hour, I'm praying it flew out. They scare the holy beejeezus out of me.

gotta think about it this way, bats are like mice with wings, they can get in your house through small openings - but mainly they tend to get in via roof vents or chimneys.

More than likely they are fruit bats, no danger to you....they are more afraid of you than you are of them - think of how much bigger you are =) they do tend to stay dormant until nightfall though, so there is a possibilty the 2nd one is lurking somewhere.

any flying critter that gets in your house can be a heart in throat experience. You may want to call an exterminator and have them come assess your house to figure out how they are getting in, and what you can do about it.

Consider building a bat house, to attract them to it, than plug any holes in you attic where they are getting in.

i fell ya i ran when a wasp flew in my house..i am allergic to them...so i had to run and get a broom and hope it wouldnt come out and get me
