Unless you know what kind of goldfish it is... it could be a celestial or a moor goldfish... there are different varieties of goldfish and depending on the type of goldfish it could be genetic or a disease.

Maybe they have Grave's disease. That is what makes ppl have bulgy eyes. It is a thyroid disorder.

It could be a health problem or it could just be genetic. I know there's a type of goldfish that are called "fancy" and they can have bulging eyes.

well you should see the gold fish called a celestial popeye fish ... instead of looking side to side like traditional popeye fish there eyes look UP! Sooo when you look down at them to feed them they are all looking up at you. Now that is weird

i don't like goldfish, they have a memory span of 10 seconds. lol .
if u put them in a round bowl they'll go round and round until they die, what a great life.

The name is Koi and the are decorations in fish ponds in Oriental lands! They "see" luck or something like that!

Could have popeye. You need to change water more frequebtly. The nitrate level is probally high.

Yeah, it weirds me out a little, too. I don't know why breeders select these mutations to reproduce.
