How come every weekend so far, (except Brickyard) NBC has put NASCAR on TNT and put like tennis on NBC. Tennis is fine, but come on, wouldn't it quadruple viewership with NASCAR on NBC?

You would think, but Thank God they don't! NBC coverage is the worst! FOX is by far the best, then TNT! Well to each his own, while you and I find Tennis boring, some people watch it, some "crazy" people find NASCAR boring! The three channels split up the airing, unfortunately!

Yeah, I really don't get it either. I mean, I know that NASCAR rakes in much higher ratings than Tennis or Golf. You would think they would want the higher ratings on NBC. Perhaps they know that NBC is doing alright ratings wise, and it helps get higher ratings for TNT?? Who knows.

The full time of this NBC contract they have shown very little as far as racing goes.The contract was "sold to TBS and their family of stations."When it is on certain stations (TBS and TNT) these are cable stations so the cable companies profit.
Oh wait we were talking about NBC!This network maybe good at some sports but they saw a way to make a profit on the hottest sport a few years back but they overloaded their programing docket.Thus they had to sell off programing.
Fox has the best coverage and the best crew tobring it to the public.As for the NBC crew they would be better off bringing you a 5 minute update at the top of the hour.

To the so called "master or truth." I think your name should maybe be the "master of bigotry." Your comment on this topic was absolutely the worst display of stereotyping I have seen in a long time. I happen to be a huge NASCAR fan as are most of my friends and I hate to break it to you, we may be country hicks, but we make more money in a year than you'd see in a lifetime sweetie. And just think if some of us didn't have jobs that said, "Would you like fries with that?" a dozen times a day you couldn't continue to sit your fat *** in front of the computer eating them fries. Because obviously if you had a life you would be doing more than sitting here running people down and actually trying to apply what little knowledge your brain has already proven exists.

I agree with you. I can't believe that many more people would watch tennis or volleyball or whatever. And with all the money and sponsors in NASCAR, you'd think NBC would make good money by making the race easy to find and putting it on their biggest network.
Then again, ESPN shows things like "competitive eating" instead of the race. And people say NASCAR's not a real sport!

tennis and nascar are my favorite sports so i dont really care which one is on which channel (tnt or nbc)... but i prefer fox because tnt and nbc have commercials like every 5 seconds and it is rediculous! fox's prerace show is also soooooo much better than nbc's

Well the networks take turns airing NASCAR. It's split between TNT, Fox and NBC.

The summer time is oftentimes a boring season for events because that action packed events inclusive of football and basketball are on their off season.
