Sure; I have "faith" that they're out there. ;)

Let's put it this way: It is a logical premise to assume that the scientifically proven physical conditions under which life developed over billions of years of evolution here on earth also took place on countless other worlds scattered throughout the universe.

That is much easier to believe than to put my faith in some all-knowing, all-controlling supernatural force that formed the earth in six days.

The bible, while an interesting and important piece of history, is also taken far too literally. It was written by pious people who'd been taught to look at the world through a supernatural vs. a scientific lens.

Sure, it's probably long gone and dead though. The other possiblity is we're a head of another specie's development.

No one says that the development of a extraterrestrial life has to happen at the same time. Didn't happen on earth why would it happen in a huge universe?

Then there is the what would that life look like? Maybe it's made of silicon. There's more silicon in the universe than carbon. Then there is the most important question. Why would it want to get our attention?

First of all, I'm not atheist. I'm agnostic. Second, yes I do believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life. I personally haven't seen any aliens or UFOs, but the possibility is there. It's a big universe. There's got to be at least one other planet that has life.

there's a diverse chance or maybe danger of extraterrestrial existence. that could be reported because existence spontaneously all started and advanced right here in the international, and the percentages are quite good that there are a range of platforms and planets very resembling this one, so it really is extremely just about certain to take position. It does no longer take conception to carry close that that is plausible. As for deities there is no longer something to bypass on so for the prospect i might want to ought to assert n/a.

some do. it's not the question of religion, it's more of who the person is. not all athiests believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life, but some do.

I do. Why wouldn't we? If life happened here, it can happen elsewhere.

Of course, the universe is so huge, we'll probably never see any intelligent extraterrestrial life. We might find simpler examples of it in places, though.

Good question, one I've been thinking about asking. I am under the impression that Atheists don't believe in anything they can't touch, see or hear.
