There is a boric acid product called Roach Proof, I'm not sure, but it might be made by Coppertone, which is in a fluffy powder form that really sticks to the little buggers, and it works great. The good thing about boric acid is that it isn’t really toxic, so it’s better to have around the house. It just inhibits their oxygen intake. That along with some traps and you should be OK so long as you don’t have neighbors that breed the little guys. Good luck!
Just found this on line:
Get several old plastic lids (or even just cut squares of aluminum foil) and place a cracker on each. Pour enough water on it to make it soggy. Then sprinkle boric acid on the cracker. Place these crackers inside cabinets, in corners, and anyplace that you have seen roaches. The roaches will come and eat the cracker, ingesting the boric acid, but they will also get it on their feet and feelers. They will then carry it back to the nest where it will kill those roaches too. No smell, no mess, no costly fees, and no roaches!

Don't leave water in sink or glasses etc. . Use boric acid (such as Roach Away) it's a powder that looks like cornstarch, and it will dehydrate them, that's why you shouldn't leave water sitting any where. Also get Ortho's Home Defense Max Spray, it comes in, I think, a gallon jug with a sprayer nozzle on it (from Wal-Mart about $20, last a long time though). I find this works well. I have a bunch of large oak trees in my yard next to my house and them buggers was always coming in, but rarely see any now. Good luck on this problem.

BORIC ACID -- Its a white power you can buy it in pharmacy's or healthfood stores that cary more natural remedies. Sprinkle it under your sinks and in lower cupboards making a line about 1" wide along the wall leave it there. the roaches will walk in it and take it back to the nest and within a week you will see very few roaches. This is also good for ants. If you live in an apartment they will come back because they escape to other apartments but won't last long. If you see them coming back refresh the line.

Personally, I called in the professionals. In my area (Georgia), I use Orkin.
You will need to thoroughly spray every nook & cranny of the establishment where the infestation is. My personal opinion is that the product of Orkin is less intrusive than "most" of the products that are available from stores.
I believe a professional will do a better job than I would.

raid the house. Use boric acid, and roach traps. make sure you have the raid spray at all times. Happened when I got new neighbors and they moved out my neighbors old furniture. Boric acid helps but Roaches become immune to it after time so spray now, set traps and pray for them to go. :)

To avoid using chemicals, you can do a hot house extermination. You raise the interior temperature to 200 degrees for eight hours. This raises the frame temps to 180 degrees, killing any bug, including termites. Don't know what the current cost is for the procedure, but it works quite well.

I agree with those who are suggesting boric acid. Also, roaches hate air conditioning so use it.
