lightly sand just the scratch area with a fine grade sand paper then use white vinegar and water to rince off the sanded part. When completely dry use funiture polish or Murphy Wood Soap and a soft cloth to reapply the shine

I have hardwood floors, and all I use to make scratches disappear are walnuts. If the scratch isn't too deep, rub a peeled walnut (or any nut would work I guess) over the scratch, it's amazing.

Several choices. You could use "Old English" scratch cover. If that doesn't work, then try a wood putty stick.
