How much does it suck the battery?

depends on the formating. I generally shrink them to about 1gb or so.
Any movie will, however, murder your battery.

It sucks the battery a lot. You can mainly only watch 2 movies on the ipod and then the battery will die. It should only take about 1gb, as that's how much my 2 hour movie took.

I really don't know but you should have 150 hours of video on it.

Shouldnt that depend on the bitrate it was encoded in?

i have about eleven hours and it only took up 3.42 gb
