Have you tried making grass hair men, maybe? Draw a face on a paper cup, fill the cup with dirt, and sprinkle some grass seed in it. Its like a home made chia pet. You can really use any plant, marigolds and different herbs are fun alternatives. The craft today would be decorating the pot, but the craft keeps crafting for weeks as it grows. They do that craft with the pre schoolers at my church, although I'm sure its more work for the teachers than it is for the pre schoolers.

They sell a product called "Goop Off". You can buy it at any hardware store. And also, Carburetor Cleaner in a spray can will take it off too.
