No, it does not affect weight loss. The body will recover fully in about 6 weeks, in terms of all of your blood cells being back and being able to give blood again, but you'll be able to do anything, like all of your daily things the next day. Drink lots of fluids with electrolytes. Give blood, it's a really good thing to do and they REALLY need it, trust me, they ALWAYS need blood.

you wont lose weight by giving blood. it is replaced by fluid and rehydration, any minor weightloss will go away once the body has regenerated its supply. How long it takes depends on the person, but usually a few hours.
