It takes wisdom to know you need to seek an answer outside yourself. It only takes patience to give an answer and make it understood

It depends on the question and the answer.
Often a good question is more important than the answer. Without good questions, there is no progress.
However, many questions I've seen around here are not very good. How many times have we seen "Who will be the next president?" questions. No imagination. Nothing added to the discussion. On the scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (hey Einstein, good one), that one rates a MINUS 6. I'd give yours about a 7.
---
Now to the answers. Even a poor question can generate a great answer. With all modesty, I've come up with this for the above question. ---
I will be the next POTUS.
I am the founder of the SPLATT (short for Stop PLATe Tectonics) political party. We are an environmentalist wacko movement. Our platform is shaky. It's to eliminate earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis and the damage that they cause.
Our mascot: the flatworm
Theme songs: "Shake, Rattle and Roll", "Whole Lot of Shaking Going On", "I Fell the Earth Move Under My Feet", "Hunka Burning Love", "Ebb Tide", "Surfin’ USA", “Catch a Wave”
Energy saving device: Lava Lamps *
Environmental clean-up agent: Lava soap *
Favorite food, breakfast: squash pancakes
Favorite food, lunch: blue plate special
Favorite food, supper: plank steak
Snack food: thick crust pizza
Beverage: milk shakes
Adult beverage: vodka martini, shaken, not stirred
I hope I didn’t make an ash of myself
Thank you for your support (Bartles and James commercial)

I'd say that answer is about an 8. At least it's creative (the first time I used it, at least).
If course, there are lousy answers to good questions. Usually they involving someone's parents and a bunch of ****.

Asking questions is a sign that your willing to listen and learn. This is the only way to higher learning, and this came from one of my College professors. I had to take a required course to be able to focus on listening and comprehending without bias in order to receive my Masters Degree.

Neither.
Asking in itself is a wise thing to do.
If it enlightens you.
In answering the question you are enriched by helping somebody resolve an impasse
