I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. As a long term diabetic, I prefer to be told if I have been non compliant with treatment orders. I might fume for a second, but I know the truth and it gets the moment over more quickly.
I have no idea how I would feel if confronted with cancer, but my late partner died from it. I wish to God that I had been there for her but I know she would have faced it with courage.

I know my faults, most of them anyway, and struggle with them, and try to hide them. So when someone points out the facts about the things I hate about myself, I get upset, because then I am aware that they are seeing them too, and that makes me feel inferior, and my defence mechanism gets in gear and I lash out. It's either normal human nature, or I'm just being juvenile, not sure which yet.

because everyone in this country has to be "politically correct". which is just fancy talk to "over sensitivity". there's little pansy people everywhere now! whatever. if you can't handle the answer, don't ask the question!
