My new husband and I live far from friends and family and we have a 5 month old. Any tips on celebrating my 28th birthday tomorrow??

I just turned 26 on the 12th and we have a 3 month old. We live 3000 miles away from our family and friends so my husband got me a cake and some ice cream he and my 8 year old sang and we rented movies. Nothing special just family time -nothing compared to my husbands birthday this year I had my daughter the day before his 30th. But If I really had a choice I would have gone to Red Lobster or something like that for dinner-Happy Birthday! (My baby's name is Emily too) :)

I still would get a trusted sitter and you and your husband go to a fine restaurant and have a nice meal. On the other hand since the child is only 5 months old take he, or she alone. Feed the baby before you leave. Who knows, the child may like to suck on a juicy "shrimp"
