Why is the chickent in the bread-pan peckin out dough?

It's a square dancing "Patter call". It's something the caller would say while the dancers were completing a long move such as a promenade. There all "old timey" and "country" references. Here's a list, bread pan is included:

I believe that is probably from some square dance call, but don't know that as a fact.
