A lot of these answers are good, another one to add to it is keep it clean, if its an off roader (thinking XR/CRF70 for some reason) clean clean clean. If you havent cleaned it in a long while, basically tear the bike aprt to get it clean, after thats all donespray the plastic, frame, wheels and engine cases/exhaust pipe in WD40, wipe it down then spray the cases and pipe again and leave it wet. Armour All the plastic, wheels and tires and make the bike look purty (dont WD40 or Armour All the brakes and seat because you won't like what happens the next time you go riding) After your next ride, wash it as soon as possible and the dirt should come off easier (thats what the WD40 is for). After washing, WD40 again everything especially the chain(but brakes and seat natch) let it dry, then do the whole process over again, but lube the chain with a chain lube, not WD40 (WD40 dries up real fast, its a Water Dispersal "WD"40 and displaces all chain lube if you put it on after the chain lube)
Its not as hard as it sounds, I can clean my 1990 RMX250 in under an hour, but it is worth it, my bike is going on 17 yrs old but it doesnt look it and I constantly get great praise for how my bike looks. Remember, dirt can corrode the bike real fast, so keep it clean.

wrenchman has it right. Assuming it is a 4-stroke, change the engine oil and filter exactly on the service schedule.
On some Hondas, there is a little hole in the underside of the silencer to let out excess moisture and prevent rust, if there is one, make sure it is not blocked.
Do not leave the bike out in the weather, sun or rain. The sun can damage the seat and fade the paint. In the garage, put an old cotton bedsheet over the bike to keep the dust off. Not a plastic sheet as this will encourage rust.

If its a 4 stroke, change the oil and filters on a regular basis. Treat it nice, and it should run for years to come.
