I am currently taking tri-sprintec (the generic form of ortho tri-cyclen) and I am constantly tired, moody and get headaches daily. I am going to the doc soon and want to change pills. Anyone have suggestions on what I can ask about? I want to continue taking some form of pill, no depo shots or anything like that.

Sometimes you have to insist on getting the brand name at the pharmacy (even if you have to pay for it a little extra). The generics may sound like the same medicine, but they are prepared under different protocol and may not have the same strict guidelines like the brand name does.

Talk to your doctor/nurse & see if they will switch you to another pill. It is worth trying a variety til you find one that suits your needs. All women are different, so not all pills (or any other contraception device) will suit us all!
