Honestly, it's because I like my job and I'm pretty damn good at it. ;)

What's great is, I know I can definitely work somewhere else for more money and greater benefits if I leave and go corporate if I really had to, but I like the where I work and I'm more valuable where I am than in some bland office building with a bunch of suits. If I went strictly for the money, I don't necessarily think I would be as happy. Even if you're making alot of money chances are you won't ever have time to fully enjoy it until you retire.

LOL

Must be because I like doing it because there is no $$ involved.

Then again, there are those who don't consider what I do a job/career. ; 0

I am a teacher - and I chose it because I like working with kids - get parts of my summers off - and I get a week off in February for my birthday. The money after more than 10 years isn't bad either.

I thought there would be no way to know unless I tried it... so I decided to try a career with $$. So far it's more about the $, but we'll see.

I'm very good at it. One of the best. And I enjoy it. And they pay me well. But I think I picked it initially, because it sounded fun. Being good at it and getting paid well came later.

I like working outside and the pay is decent. I'm not very materialistic either so that helps.
