Think locally, act globally. The world isn't just what you can see out the front door anymore. We are thinking of America when we help other countries since many times we depend on people, items, skills or whatever from that country. Plus, if America doesn't help no one else will. I'd hate to think if the US were in that situation people would turn their backs on us.
