No. The seasons are not capitalized unless one of them begins the sentence, such as: Fall is approaching, but winter I anticipate.

As the third hit on Google (sorry, Yahoo) for this question of capitalization, one more important note should be added: the season is capitalized when used as a title, particularly when referring to a semester or term, e.g., the Spring semester, the Fall term.

I don't have an answer, but another question: if using the season in the following question should it be capitalized or not? Perhaps you can give a lecture during the "fall".

The seasons aren't capitalized unless you use them as the first word in a sentence. In all other cases, you don't capitalize them.
