is it true that, in Texas, if an item is advertised for an amount that it must be sold for that advertised amount and does that include the internet?

Yes, sellers must honor their advertised price unless stated somewhere in the establishment that is was a misprint , mistake whatever.

It's called false advertisement and it should hold up in court, if you are willing to go that far. That is...if you have the advertisement. Do a research on-line for false advertisement court filings.

Or, often times, in the fine print of any given add, it will say something to the effect of "Not responsible for any misprints."
