The same thing happened 2 me My period lasted 4 a month!!!!!
You need to go see the gynocologist. I went and they gave me a pap-test to make sure it wasn't cancer. This bleeding could be caused by cancer or like what happened 2 it could just be nothing. The tests came back and they were normal but the doctor told me if this happened again I would have to go on birth control 2 make my period regular. Luckly it never happened again. You must is the doctor 2 make sure it's not cancer tho.

It sounds hormonal.

The #1 hormone - because it can affect the production of all the other hormones - is insulin. Ask your doctor for a fasting insulin blood test . Ask for a copy of your results. 10 or higher is abnormal for an adult.

Also ask for a saliva test. This test will tell you if any of your feminine hormones are not at the best levels. I do not like doctors who prescribe hormones for any feminine problem without testing first. When that happened to me - the shot he gave me switched me from low blood sugar to diabetes.

I had the same problem. Your hormones could be going crazy right now, and bleeding for so long can lead to anemia.

I strongly suggest you go see a gynecologist, and he will must likely prescribe birth control pills and iron pills.

It could be a variety of things. Do you take birth control? What's your age, are you close to menopause? Maybe a thyroid condition. It would probably be a good idea to call your doctor.

My best friend had the same problem, she went to the doctor and they told her, her body stopped producing the hormone for her to stop, so they gave her temporary pills and she's been ok ever since.
