Talk to "him" and acknowledge "him" and, as odd as this wounds, set up some "house rules" for "him." These guidelines do actually work.

I don't "believe" in ghosts because I've never seen any good evidence of them. But I certainly do accept that strange things seem to happen from time to time that are unexplainable. But the key word is "unexplainable". Just because you can't explain something in a non-paranormal context is not a justifyable reason to jump to conclusions about ghosts.
If you are really serious about getting to the bottom of your experiences, then you'll have to be prepared to do some hard critical thinking first. The acid test would be if you could withstand a grilling from skeptics. If you dare, try your ideas out on websites like http://www.skeptic.com/index.html and http://www.randi.org/ These are sites that promote rational, critical thinking in order to get at the truth.
Be prepared to accept that the truth may not be what you want it to be. But rest assured that the truth will be more valuable to you in the long run - you will no longer be able to be fooled by yourself and others!

Ghost are real, not a guess. Although even some of the most convincing hauntings are just caused by electromagnetic, subsonic, and many times psychological anomalies.
For instance a few years back every time when I woke up, the stuff on top of my dresser was rearranged. It turned out that I was doing it in my sleep. Sleep walking was a side effect of a new sleep med I used to take. It ceased when I switched meds.

Ghosts are very mischievous, they move stuff around generally as fun, but if a certain item gets picked on more than any other then it is trying to tell you something, the other thing about ghosts is if they didn't hurt you while alive then they certainly won't now they are spirit, we have had our ghost for 22 years and even have a name for him, Charlie, he usually comes to us if were worried about something and it always works out in the end, never be scarred, he will appear when he is ready and not by been forced into it, enjoy your ghost.

Are you serious, I really like your post, you sound kewl.. but a ghost?... Are you sure your not just lapsing in concentration, or forget where you put your keys? Or maybe your grilfriend is playing tricks on you? Have you actually seen these things move?... Man I wish I could believe in ghosts, or something else kewl or supernatural, but nothing like that ever happens to me...
Anyway, I'm no psychic, gypsie or whatever so getting one to appear, I have no idea about...
Unfortunately, sometimes when you look hard enough for something... you find it... even if it isn't really there!...
Happy ghostbusting... or ghost-revealing, whatever the case may be...

I don't believe in ghosts and so far in history, there is absolutely NO proof that they exist.
So if things are getting moved at your place, then set up a video camera, or motion detector, or something to prove something "ghostly" is happening. With proof, you'll be rich by selling movie rights, books, etc.

try talking to him through a guigy board (be very cautious when using, because you can be posessed by a ghost other than your friend. possibly a demon) or through a phsychic. or when you think hes listening just talk to him and take pictures and stuff like that. tell him to give you signs of his presence and things like that. or you can also try doing EVP's (electronic voice phenomina) which is when you leave a voice recorder of some sort on when you leave or go to sleep and see if theres any voices on it or other noises.

sorry i am a skeptic, now comes that infamous word " but," i believe the mind does and can play games on people. people can be hypnotized very easily, and if you want to believe in ghosts or pesky spirits i think it will be real for you. i could go on about how it works. i am sure you've heard it before.
