I'm really shy. I'd like 2 be more out going, but everytime i try, i feel embrassed. What should i do?

if u r shy, be shy. not point trying to be outgoing cos the natural outgoing people will just naturally out talk u. u cant beat them so dont join their league or u end up like what u said: being embarassed. outgoing people always have something on their mind to talk about and shy people just dont. they always just continue from what is being said instead of starting a new topic when one dies out...maybe u can start by just trying to continue conversations with friends who are not so talkative 1st then progress from there. soon when u r outgoing enough then u can join those who are really good at talking trash

I used to be a super shy person. Even now I prefer small groups of people. Take baby steps, you may or may not ever completely be totally outgoing. Set a goal in the beginning to speak to two new people. (maybe when you are at the grocery store) Then when you are ready branch out from there. My hubby was military and left to go to Saudi shortly after we married it left me to learn to drive a stick shift and met new people. You can do it. Just remember any friendship you give someone is your gift to them.

Wow, I had the same problem when I was younger. I always tried to make up my mind to be more outgoing but I just never could be. All I can say is that you'll grow out of it. The older I got the more loud & obnoxious I got.

don't be embarrassed just kinda go with the flow. Who cares if people laugh at you. Just be yourself and kick up a notch.

personally i wouldn't know cause i'm super shy. all my friends say that's why i don't got a boyfriend.

wow, that sounds just like, except i'm a guy.
All i can say- is sometimes you have to go agains all of your fears, yes it's hard -- go a little crazy :)
