If the VCR has RCA (composite/Yellow, Red, and White) inputs... you should be able to run your gamecube into the vcr, and then use the output of the vcr to go into the television.
Thats assuming that your vcr has a cable connection in the back. If it has an antenna connection, you will have to run out of the VCR, into an RF converter, and then hook that onto the two antenna screws.
Or bite the bullet and drop 70 bucks on a new tv with RCA inputs. lol!

Your old VCR should have an audio and video input which you can plug the Gamecube into. If there is no threaded rf connector on the TV to plug the VCR co-ax cable into, then it should at least have two VHF screws for input. Simply get a matching 75-ohm to 300-ohm transformer (about $7 at Radioshack) to convert the co-ax cable into the VHF input.

MadCatz has a RF adapter that goes from A / V (Yellow, White, Red) to coaxial. It fits GC, Xbox, and PS2 video ports located on the back of the game console. My TV is 17 years old and I use this adapter every day. Their available for $10 or so at EB games or pretty much any local department store with a electronics section.

I think there is some sort of adaptor box that you can use. It is a wire that attaches to a little black box that you then hook up to the TV and the game system. Try looking at Radio Shack, they can probably help.

The yellow/purple/white connection isn't a channel. it is your television's auxiliary or video enter. On some TVs that's accessed contained in direction of the Video or enter button on your distant. On different TVs that is AUX, or 00 or perhaps ninety 9 (inspite of the certainty that this won't be a "channel")
