I'm so tired of it.I'm guilty-sorry for being white. I know we are all the same, skin doesnt matter....but the black mentality of making whites feel guilty is getting old fast. Maybe if you would all just drop it...the problem could slowly fade. It happened years ago..not many alive today had any say in it.what in your minds could whites do to appease you?

I don't need appeasement. I keep on going about my business. I'm black and can care less. I have bunches of white friends. And I don't even care about the white folks that do hate. I'm not expecting any special treatment, but the usual courtesy and respect. That definitely needs to be upped. But beyond that I don't need or want anything from anyone white that is along the lines of appeasement.

Your question assumes all blacks think with the same brain. Perhaps you are encountering too many of the same type of people. You should broaden your scope of exposure. Find out who you are and what gifts and talents you possess. Realize that everyone has gifts and talents also. Then you may be better able to look at others more objectively and appreciate who you are. You cannot feel guilt for something you had no control over. Guilt is regret for something you did.
Racism was not a single event which occurred in the past, racism is ongoing ignorance. Sexism, ageism and the like are all results of ignorance! So educate yourself and stop feeling guilty!!

I know what you mean. Not to over generalize or anything, but I have come across some people (not just Black people but other races as well) who have a vendetta against white people who opress them. There is still racism in this world, and it's sad that we can't seem to get past it. I think as long as people make skin color a distinction then it will be an issue. Humans like to classify and group things together based on patterns. It's makes us feel like we're somehow in control of things. If we stop labeling each other then maybe racism will start to be, REALLY, a thing of the past.

I have thought for about the last 10 yrs or so that some of the most racist people in the world are blacks...

They are always the 1st to bring it up!

As a white guy or woman i think of your question is racist, no longer all black people have an identical suggestions and emotions. in case you do unlike somebody you do unlike them, no person needs to deliver race into it, common as.

I don't assume all whites are racist. All races can be racist of one another. I look at what you say or do to determine if you are racist or not. If a person degrades another person's race or stereotypes another, whether it's "unintentional" or not, it's racism, period.

I go by this rule: Respect me and I'll respect you.

I am white and I have friends of all races. They have never made me feel that way. I'm sorry it is happening to you. It is a very real issue among all people and I agree-we are all the same-the human race.

Hey, I am white, but I am also part Jew. If the subject comes up, I just tell them everyone has had their turn. They put black people out in fields, but my people were gassed and thrown in furnaces. Which would you prefer? Shuts'em the hell up every time.

I honestly don't worry about this stuff any more. I grew up with this whining and moaning and groaning. Now I am at the point where I just do not care. I have better things to do with my time than listening to the same old arguments and rants and griping over and over and over and over and over..... You get the picture.
