I had my navel pierced a little more than a year ago. Now when I take out my belly ring, I have a NASTY HUGE hole there! Is it permanent for the rest of my life or will it go away in time? Thanks.

the hole will slowly but surely close in if you do not wear any ring for couple of years.

The longer it's been pierced, the less likely it is that the hole will close. I doubt it will after a year. I didn't wear ear rings for several years and the hole was still open.

It will close up a bit but it will always be noticeable. I've had mine out for 5yrs and anyone can see that I once had it pierced. Calling it nasty? Did you have a larger piece of jewellry in it? Try Vitamin E cream or oil from the capsules, it can help heal.

No it will close up, like your earrings if you don't wear them for awhile. I'm kind of waiting for mine to close up too =), and it i'm thinking it might leave a little scar cause i see a line at the part that closed up already

nobody here can tell you the answer, each body is different and how it heals. yours could close up and disappear (mine did) or stay open for years after the jewelry is removed and look quite unpleasant (hubbins did this). You can try rubbing vitamin e or emu oil on it to help.

j, sorry sugar please do not listen 2 who ever said YES...NEVER not just NEVER f@#%$^g NEVER there will always be a hole its may i say (might) get a little less noticeable but u see once u have stretched or reshaped the form of you're tummy skin it will never b the same.....sorry,but no false hope here!

yes it is permanent it may get smaller in time but look to have it forever

it will always look like you have a hole there- and when you have kids it will stretch and look aweful
