Depending on the species, you can look at her hind legs. If the space between her hind legs and her shell is unusually fat, that's the best sign. Those are actually the eggs pressing against her skin.

Only mammals can get pregnant. One sign of pregnancy in a mammal is a swollen belly and milk starting. Look at it this way, a chicken lays eggs, but is never pregnant.
If you think that your turtle is carrying eggs inside of her, give her a low box that she can get into. Fill the box with sand. She will lay her eggs in the box, and then her care is over.

They do not get pregnant like we do. They lay eggs. If you find eggs then you will have baby turtles soon.

When they deliver baby turtles then that is a sign that they were pregnant.
