These people seek the negative side to make sure their cup stays empty to half empty. Historically speaking, things have not changed that much. They lack purpose, and usually latch on to the first bleeding heart cause out of the box. It something they can drop at a moments notice. A real relationship and raising kids is a lfetime commitment and full time job. They feel they have better things to do. It's OK. They would only pass on their baggage to their kids if they had any. Some people have no business having kids.

Humans are the only species in the world capable of "higher level" intelligence as well as being able to change their environment.
Unfortunately, we also enjoy a very spotty history, when it comes to intelligently changing the environment. The changes that we make tend to look pretty unintelligent, especially to animals.
As for having children, it is usually the most impoverished of humans who have the most, while the richest usually have the least. So yes, looking at the evidence, this world does look like a pretty terrible place because of humans.
Hope this helps you.

Well, the world's not a terrible place, totally. I think what they mean is: Life is difficult, and at the end of it all, you might be better or you might be worse. Perhaps, pp who said that is on the worse off end, so they felt that it's pointless to bring someone into the world and go thru the same ordeal as them.

Um, i imagine the problem with this argument is that it tries to quantify existence into really simplistic words that mathematically attain your end, yet realistically prepare surely no longer something in words of morality. "Can mum and dad be judged morally evil for bringing children right into a merciless international to conflict through basically to reproduce?" this may require an entire slew of arguments that you do not grant. If we are pondering the cruelty of the international and the suffering that the classic individual is going through in existence when we are pondering your question about morality, you would ought to first prepare that the international became merciless or comprehensive of suffering (sturdy success with that, those are completely relativistic and subjective suggestions) as a thanks to prepare that there became an excellent purchase of suffering that folk necessary to be shielded from, something that couldn't customary. And if we won't be able to set up that folk want to be shielded from experiencing discomfort (a subjective and really complicated problem), we do no longer have a controversy for the morality of growing to be existence. also, it sort of feels defective to characteristic a +a million to non-existence. positive they don't journey discomfort, yet in addition they don't journey the non-journey of discomfort. They journey no longer something. Their non-existence won't be able to be something yet impartial. honestly, non-existence isn't customary right here as being best to existence, because this argument assumes that each and each one the suffering and each and each of the exhilaration experienced through someone interior their lifetime will, in all situations, quantity to an same aspect (-a million and +a million). this would't likely be the case each and each of the time. often i imagine this is a miles more desirable helpful argument for professional-decision advocates.

well when you think about it the world really in no way is perfect...nor will it ever be...it wasnt ment to be perfect- at least according to what the bible teaches us ..the world isnt perfect but heaven is ...but anway i think people say that becuase they have suffered alot and they dont want their kids to suffer the same way.....but thats a sin..you can't just give up becuase others are sinful....you have to keep fighting...and give life and makes sure that your children dont grow up to be one of the people who makes the world and awful place
